A Wife By Any Other Name

Given the latest revelation that Karl Rove did not actually name Valerie Plame as a CIA agent, but rather referred to her as “Wilson’s wife, who apparently works at the agency…,” I thought it might be fun to play a game.

Most likely, Rove and his lawyers will claim that since he never named her, he didn’t commit an act of treason (even though the law refers to identifying, not naming). So, for fun, I have compiled a list of people for you to guess the identity. Note, I am not naming anyone and therefore am clearly not in violation of any law prohibiting the naming of a wife that is possibly punishable by death.

a. George W. Bush’s wife
b. George H.W. Bush’s wife
c. Barney Rubble’s wife
d. John Jay O’Connor’s wife
e. Peter Parker’s wife
f. Anakin Skywalker’s wife
g. Bill Clinton’s wife
h. Scott Peterson’s wife

Note, no wives were outed in the writing of this Blog. Really, none were. I mentioned no names. Clearly, your inferences are your own. That’s it… I am done talking to you. I want to talk to my lawyer.
