I agree with you that we need to see more of this type of campaign. It would also be nice if Members of Congress and other legislative bodies did the same. There are some interesting examples of citizen sponsored issues forums that elected officials participate in, informally, at http://e-democracy.org. e-Democracy has launced these forums in the US, especially Minnesota, and in the UK. But it would be nice to see candidates and officials take the initiative to launche these types of community platforms. Daniel,

There are some interesting examples of citizen sponsored issues forums that elected officials participate in, informally, at http://e-democracy.org. e-Democracy has launced these forums in the US, especially Minnesota, and in the UK.

I think too many people feel they have no voice. This offers a direct contact where the best idea has a chance to be followed, not just the best funded idea.
